Yellowstone & Grand Teton
Visit Yellowstone, the 1st national park ever created in the United States. It is primarily known for its geothermic wonders that include geysers, hot springs, fumaroles and mud pots, however Yellowstone also encompasses vast forests, deep canyons, and the largest concentration of large mammals in the continental US. You will also have the opportunity to visit the town of West Yellowstone as well as Grand Teton National Park which you will explore by gondola and boat rides.

Arrive in Salt Lake City around noon and meet the group! We will make some stops along the way as we travel to our base in Island Park, Idaho, close to the western entrance of Yellowstone National Park!
Yellowstone! There is nothing like it! You will spend all day touring the country's first national park chock full of fascinating geothermal features and large wildlife. You will see the grand canyon of Yellowstone, erupting geysers and boiling hot pools, and we hope to be lucky enough to see bison and even bear.
On this day you will explore Grand Teton National Park. Ride the gondola in Teton Village and explore the high alpine terrain of the Tetons. The 12-minute ride in a safe and private gondola cabin whisks you more than 2,700 vertical feet above the valley floor. You will also ride down the Snake River on a scenic rafting tour.
You will head back into Yellowstone for another day of exploring this fascinating park. Boiling mud, colorful pools, roaring caves... and also scenic rivers, mountains and meadows. In the afternoon/evening, before heading back to your home, you will have the opportunity to do some souvenir shopping and touring in the quaint tourist hub of West Yellowstone.
Day 5
We will leave our hotel early on the final morning of our trip to head to Craters of the Moon National Monument, a bizarre and otherworldly volcanic landscape. Then we will get back on the bus and head to our final meal and goodbye in Salt Lake City.
